There is no difference in temperament
between MALE and FEMALE
Bichon Frise or Shih Tzu.
Bichons and Shih Tzus mixes
of any combination of these dog breeds
are the BEST dog pets.
They are not territorial like terriers
(Yorkshire, Maltese, etc.),
guard dogs or other territorial breeds.
Teaching a dog not be territorial
is like trying to teach a hunting dog
not to want to hunt.
It can be done but you must have a
strong leadership role
and great follow through.
Territorial means
the dog thinks everything is his...
mine, Mine, MINE.
They will defend (growl, snap at or bite)
if anyone tries to share or take what
the territorial dog believes is theirs.
The Lhasa Apso looks like
a larger version of the Shih Tzu
but isn't as accepting of strangers.
It is true if the breed is territorial
that a female is better with people.
Males are usually less expensive
than females due to supply & demand
in Minnesota.
Males are less expensive to neuter.
The procedure is less dangerous
since it is considered outpatient procedure.
Leg lifting is to mark territory,
neutering drastically reduces the drive for marking
since they no longer have the drive to procreate.
I teach you how to establish that you are the alpha
and this behavior alone stops the issue.
You can teach a male to never lift its leg
simply by never stopping while going for a walk &
NOT allowing him to sniff every neighbor’s bush.
When he needs to relieve himself he has no choice
but to squat like a female. That is when you pause during the walk.
Spaying (females) is more expensive.
This procedure adds more risk,
it is surgery where the female needs to be put
totally under.
Males tend to be larger in size.
Males are the major winner of dog shows
since they have the look the judges are seeking.
Stronger lines and muscular shape.
Some customers just do not like the look
of the male sexual parts.
There is more petting room on a female stomach.
Both males and females may attempt
to go with the motion
of trying to mate (humping)
This behavior can be stopped in an instant
with my training methods.
Watch the calm down technique video.
This article applies to dogs that are fixed.
We are inspected by the
STATE of MINNESOTA
Regulated by Dakota County
26 standards are required
to be certified as a
MINNESOTA dog breeder
Dog Shelters and Dog Rescues
are NOT regulated
Which one?
or
When selecting the breed
that is most compatible
for your lifestyle and your situation
there are many factors to consider.
What kind of Temperament:
not snapping at teasing children
and outside family members
Qualities desired or unwanted:
• Non-shed
• Need to exercise
or do not need exercise
• Need to have jobs
…herd, guard or hunt
• Grooming
• Likes cold (winter)
Health:
Line breeding
(Breeding to a certain dog
to keep the bloodline going)
Example:
Elhew champion English Pointer.
The breeder would state 3rd generation
from Elhew's bloodline or that Elhew
was this puppy Great Grandfather.
Hopefully Elhew doesn't have any faults
(bad traits) to pass on.
Rescue dogs can carry
diseases and or parasites
that we do NOT have immunity against
(To be able to resist infection, antibodies)
Inbreeding increases health risks.
It's why we are not suppose to marry
our cousins.
Inbreeding (breeding related dogs)
Example: mother is bred with the son.
Mixed breeding
or avoiding breeding to closely related parents
help avoids health issues.
None of my breeding males are related
to any of my breeding females.
This is ONE of the reasons I do NOT
have countless health issues.
If you decide to purchase a mixed breed
it is best that both parents are
purebred and registered.
Registration helps keeps breeders honest
about what they are truly breeding.
Ask to see the parents' registration paperwork.
The breeder should have the registration
numbers on the puppy's paperwork.
I usually use a registered purebred shih tzu
and registered purebred bichon to produce
shih tzu bichon mix, teddy Bears.
I can show a paper trail when a teddy bear
is crossed with a bichon or shih Tzu or teddy bear.
EXAMPLES:
Shihpoo (shih tzu poodle)
Father purebred Poodle and
Mother purebred Shih Tzu with
papers proving it true.
Ask to see the documents.
This ensures that the parents were not chosen
because they kind of look like a Shih Tzu and Poodle
…so, we’ll call the puppies shihpoos.
They maybe Lhaso Apso Poodle
(small dog breeds) which can be fine
but maybe not good with children & strangers.
ALhaso Apso was bred to be a guard dog
where the Shih Tzu was bred to be the
inside palace pet.
Rescue dogs most of the time
do not have paperwork,
the vet will need to give his best guess
of what the dog is
and how old it is.
The fact is that the rescue dog is
breed type is unknown and cannot be proven.
Breeds are bred for the traits,
they are either bred into the breed
or out of the breed.
One or both rescue dog parents may have
sneaky neighbor dog (usually unknown father)
breeding in its background with characteristics
you would prefer to avoid.
If one of the parents have shedding qualities,
your puppy may shed. Even if one parent has
non shed qualities and most of the past litters have
been non shed your puppy may shed.
Do you want to gamble?
There is NO guarantee that the puppy
will NOT have some quality you DON'T want.
If one of the parents has shedding,
not good with children
or other qualities you don't care for...
your puppy may have the unwanted quality.
I don't care to have a dog in my possession
that may bite my family or cause problems
in other areas that are important to me.
Examples:
Yorkie (yorkshire terrier)
Maltese (terrier)
Chihuahua mix
may not like children or anyone else
but the owner.
Terriers are happier with one pet owners
and where they can claim everything as theirs.
Cocker Spaniel mix
may not tolerate teasing
(will bite to protect themselves)
and prefers to hunt.
Jack Russel mix (jackapoo)
May shed and may not tolerate teasing
(will bite to protect themselves),
are aggressive towards other pets and
are very active dogs who need allot of exercise.
Lhasa Apso mix
may not like children or
tolerate teasing and prefers to guard.
Cavalier mix with non-shed breed may shed
is a working breed that prefers to hunt
your neighborhood squirrels,
birds or other fun creatures.
Beagle mix with non shed breed
may shed and is a working breed that
prefers to hunt your neighborhood squirrels,
birds or other fun creatures.
Beagle has voices and like to use them.
Bichon, Shih Tzu - mixed or purebred
non shed, a lap dog breed that prefers
to keep track of you rather than hunt squirrels, birds or
other creatures.
They were not bred for anything
but being a lap dog.
They won't herd your children
or over guard your property
but they will give you all their unconditional love.
They do not chase the mailman
but instead think
everyone is their friend.
Rescue -
May have AGGRESSION issues -
may have bitten people before
May have BEHAVIORAL issues -
marking or going inside the house
destroying furniture or other items
May have HEALTH issues -
heart murmur, kidney or liver problems,
the list goes on
May not have been QUARANTINED
long enough to discover contagious diseases and parasites
It may take up to 90 days or more to show up
No well-informed retail pet store or dog breeder
is going to sell dogs and cats
sourced from any so-called "rescue" or animal shelter
because they know the facts that animals obtained from these
unregulated sources impose a threat to the health and safety
of both people and other animals.
ArdyWeb.com has a unique training program,
it does not matter which puppy you pick.
We sell lapdogs that are non shed,
great with children
and other pets.
We have started the conditioning and training.
The Dog Whisperer and Dog Father series
simply train the owner, not the dog.
They show the dog they are the alpha
in an understandable & gentle manner.
In 15 minutes the dog is doing what it is
suppose to do. It is all about teaching the
owner to be the master,
the leader,
the one in charge.
We teach you how to do the same.
We supply a training manual with each dog,
the eBook. The eBook is to teach the new owner
the alpha techniques and pack rules.
If you follow the procedures, you will NOT
have the issues that other dog owners have.
and other annoying behaviors.
Once you understand the
3 main pack rules and
control them with the easy
dog language we teach you,
it is all simple.
Leader...who eats first
Doorways...who controls who coming or leaving the pack
Best spot...only by invitation by the owner
The puppies we raise are conditioned
from birth to accept all kinds of
sounds, sights, vibrations, etc.
We play barking dogs, howling, sirens,
m-16 shots, bird-calls and more,
by the time the pups are 6 weeks of age
they do not care.
These sounds just means playtime
and food to them. This keeps them safe
on July 4th from fear of fireworks, thunderstorms,
and other noises that may cause them to be fearful.
The puppies are exposed to our hunting dogs
they think all big dogs are their friends.
We have several children available to visit
and play with them. These children know
and understand the techniques.
Our puppies will NOT be the
shy guy or the nipper.
They are conditioned and trained
with the pack rules.
We show them what they can chew on
and what is NOT allowed by using our
unique training techniques. We share
the techniques with you through the eBook
and training videos.
Our puppies are usually ready to go by
9 weeks of age. What really determines when they can go home
is they must be done nursing. We let the mothers decide since nature knows best.
The other rule is the puppy must be
settled in its individual kennel.
That means kenneled without its
mother or litter mates.
Most breeders take the puppy directly
from its mother and litter mates
that is why they cry into the night.
It is scary and lonely especially the first time
Yes it is a lot more work to clean several kennels
instead of just one. That is why most breeders
do not condition the puppies to be alone.
It takes more time to train each puppy
and the new owners,
another reason why other breeders
do NOT do what we do.
If you think that you need to meet the puppy
from ArdyWeb.com before purchasing it
to create a bond you are mistaken.
We have already started the
training, teaching, conditioning.
You just need to follow through
with the easy step by step training.
We offer the crate/grate kennel for purchase
it keeps the puppy safe and fulfills all its
needs when in training

The truth is that what matters
with the type of breeds
we raise is the following:
It is a pretty simple decision process.
Our dogs are lapdogs, great with children and
other pets, non-shed and
their only job is to take care of you.
I could makeup stories about
their personalities when they are under the age of 7 weeks
but that would NOT be true.
I believe in integrity.
That is our bottom line.
What we do differently
from other dog breeders
Why buy from us
How to tell the Good
from the Bad
and the Ugly...
My puppies are
individual kennel trained...
this avoids puppy separation anxiety.
Wouldn't you be fearful the first time
you were separated from everything you know.
I do NOT take the puppy
directly from its mother
and give the puppy directly to you.
I gradually lengthen the separation time
from the mother...
then from the litter mates.
The puppy does not get upset.
They will keep eating and not cry
ALL through the night.
The process of individual kenneling training
lets me know exactly when the puppy
is weaned and ready to go home with you.
Their stools are firm and the puppy is
not fussing in the kennel.
I socialize the puppies to play with their toys,
not chew on my shoelaces and to keep out
of the NO DOG ZONES like behind the couch.
They have been exposed to many sights, sounds
(they listen to talk podcasts)
I enjoy playing with the puppies
and have taken the time to
educate and teach both you and the puppy.
The socialization process is started at birth.
At 6 weeks of age, the puppies are brought
into my home and go back to their
mother to nurse several times a day.
Once they are weaned they are raised in
my home. They can go outside when the
weather is nice.
I can teach the grate method of kenneling...
not just the crate (traditional kenneling).
With the grate method
in the middle of the night
to do its business.
They learn to go BOTH
outside and use the backup plan.
it doesn't matter if it's
COLD,
RAINING
or
you are just SHORT ON TIME.
Many methods work
but I use the grate crate method of kenneling
it is cleaner,
healthier
and much easier.
You decide which methods works best for you.
I use a larger kennel with a grate-
no puppy pads...
no repeat bathing...
no sitting in water
because they have tipped over the water dish etc.
This method is great for people
who can't run to the door every time
the puppy needs to go out.
My customers who live in condos/apartments
love that they do not need to
run down the hall/stairs/elevator
every time the dog needs to relieve itself.
It's wonderful for whoever may be dog sitting.
They're being taught to come to a whistle.
They know the word NO.
I will show you the calm down technique
plus more.
Watch the training videos!
The tax is included in the price-
NO surprises with extra costs.
No limited registration and no extra costs
if you care to show or breed your puppy.
If born with dew claws they are removed
they're only good for snagging clothing
hunting dogs need their dew claws to hold their prey.
Everyone who buys a puppy from me
gets a copy of professional pointers by email...
126 pages eBook.
Doggone sound advice about training
and caring for the family pooch.
The eBook is packed full of indispensable tips
to help avoid and resolve common behavioral problems.
It is designed to building
a mutually rewarding relationship
between canine and owner.
I am available for questions
even after the puppy is sold
I show you how to identity and avoid parasites.
The puppies are raised by me,
trained by me
and sold by me.
NOT an employee or friend of the family
who really knows nothing about
raising, training and teaching you
how to have a well-behaved puppy.
I own both PARENTs
To avoid health issues
and to keep our insurance costs low
we are no longer showing the parents
however, we can email photos;)
Once a deposit is placed
and it is born and chosen
I email weekly updates
and post videos on the website
****************************************************
Please don't expect other breeders to provide you
with all the additional information
and extra effort of
removing dew claws
training
teaching you the basics & so much more...
their bottom line is
to provide you with a puppy and make a profit.
If the place you are considering to buy a puppy
is unclean or
the puppies/adults are not groomed or cared for...
this should be a clear sign...
this is not where you want to purchase your puppy from
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM
DO NOT REWARD THE BEHAVIOR
OR YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM
WHY THEY CONTINUE
If the seller ONLY will meet you in a parking lot
...this should be a clear warning sign...a bright red flag.
Or they tell you they're selling the puppies
for a relative/friend.
If they don't have the records of shots or
other vet history available for you to take.
If they do not have the registration paperwork
ready for you when you take the puppy.
If they do not have the registration NUMBER
of the parents.
This NUMBER proves they are purebred.
If the puppy is sprayed with perfume
to cover bad smells -
think again why perfume was used
instead of giving the puppy a bath.
If the dog was used for breeding purposes
they usually will want to
mark your furniture, carpet, etc. -
it can be corrected
but you will need to know how to break the habit.
I take the time to educate you
and give my training methods in written format,
by email, a 126-page care guide written by me.
I do not just take the money and say... see ya!!!
I encourage you to email if a problem arises...
a habit it much harder to break
than getting it right the first time;)
I want you and the puppy
to have an enjoyable life together.
I know exactly who the father is...
no sneaky neighbor's dog allowed.
This is just one of the reasons we have a
gated property, motion detectors, cameras etc.
To ensure that parasites do not come from me...
my puppies are dewormed once every 2 weeks
(cycle of adult and egg laying is 3 weeks) if necessary
NO fleas, ticks or mites will be dipped if necessary.
The mother is fed a high-grade diet
so not deficient and produces healthy pups
which means she can nurse the pups with the
highest nutrition possible.
It is one of the many reasons are
health risks are less than 1%
The mother is only allowed to be bred
if she is totally back in shape
and if she can produce healthy, happy puppies.
This is not rocket science but simple common sense!

If you are not positive

DO NOT PURCHASE ONE!

Good Morning -
I won't clog your system with photos, because
you know how cute your puppies are.
Things are going perfectly for Cooper
and I Love the grate crate
(especially because of winter conditions
for housebreaking outdoors).
Not one "mistake" yet!
You're eBook is an amazing tool.
No barking/whining. Sleeping quietly in kennel all night
and talk radio is brilliant suggestion.
In other words he is perfect!!! And so are you.
Thanks again for all you did to work with me for
timing with my traveling etc.
I couldn't love him more.....

Done, Hug well accepted. Made our 1st Vet visit today.
110% A-OK.
The entire clinic staff was so excited for us and Max.
They were very impressed by your paperwork.
Almost never see anything that complete from breeders.
Christmas time is a very busy season for new puppies.
Max was taken all over and introduced to everyone
in the back room,
the downstairs surgery staff, everyone.
He did so well it impressed the Doctor.
When we came in the young women a the front desk
"Issador's parents have a new puppy !!!"
Fun to have such a great welcome.
We'll keep you posted as he grows.

Hi Ardeth,
My name is CJ and I wanted to let you know how excited
I was to find your site. I have spent a good part of my
day reading through your website and looking at your
videos and I thank you for being so informative.
I am sure you get a ton of emails a day but I wanted to say
how much I appreciate you taking the time to educate
new and potential puppy owners. Once I found your site,
I knew I had found my breeder/educator.
Your time and effort are truly appreciated.
I am considering putting in a deposit for a pup
from a future Shihon litter. I reviewed your puppy page
and wanted to make sure I was understanding it correctly.
For the teddy bear puppies are there already 6 people
who have put down deposits on future litters and
if I put down one as well I would be the 7th and as others pick,
I would move up in the order? I just wanted to make sure
I understood the process correctly.
Thanks in advance!
CJ
Hi Ardy,
We wanted to let you know how great Teddy has been.
Besides having the sweetest personality,
he’s been incredibly easy to train. We’ve followed
the great crate method and are thrilled that he
has never had an accident! While he doesn’t yet tell us
when he has to go outside, he will go across the house
to get to his crate to use it if he needs to go potty.
We are also following other aspects of your
eBook training program and
finding it all to be working like magic.
Teddy is a perfect puppy and we couldn’t be more pleased.
Hilary picked up 5/19/2018 email from 5/26/2018
Puppy pads (wee-wee pads, training pads) cost 30-65 cents per pad-at the time of this article.
Your puppy can tear them up, track their waste on your floors and it is an ongoing expense.
The Grate/Crate method protects your floors, diarrhea falls through the grate and cannot be tracked throughout your home.
The puppy cannot play on the newspaper covered by the grate keeping your home clean.
The grate crate with wheels can be rolled easily from room to room without hurting your back, pinching your fingers or spilling waste. The cost is one time for the grate/crate of $150 at the time of this article.
The math is simple.
3 puppy pads per day costs about $1.
The basic kennel package is $150/$1
= paid for itself in 150 days.
The Grate/Crate will save you money, keep your home clean and the puppy cannot use the grate as a toy and tear it up. If you don't have newspaper, ask family, friends, neighbors, businesses or purchase the Sunday Paper. It will cost less than puppy pads.
